Lancet study of health care workers vaccinated in Israel. Adjusted rate reductions of infections after 1st dose Pfizer were 30% & 75% after days 1–14 & days 15–28 respectively (and disease reduction 47% and 85%!). Blocks asymptomatic cases/disease so well!

While there is emerging data for impressive immunity & protection following the 1st dose of Pfizer/BioNtech #COVID19 vaccine, this points toward safely delaying (duration?) the 2nd dose, not eliminating the 2nd dose (yet).

The Pfizer vaccine continues to perform remarkably well. Even a single dose appears to confer substantive benefits. Here, evidence of reduction in infection and even greater reduction in symptomatic disease after a single vaccine dose.
